FPS Partnerships for Sustainability Webinar

At the end of February, FPS hosted a webinar “Partnerships for Sustainability,” drawing attention to our ongoing commitment to sustainability and innovative processes. As we reflect on its success, we want to highlight some of the key points that stood out as we move forward:

FlexiGreen and REBU

Our world-class Recycling Hub, highlighted in the video, demonstrates our commitment to deliver on sustainability while creating tangible benefits for our partners. We showed an in-depth look into our commitment to recycling, the innovative processes that make our hub unique.

By 2025, we anticipate our output to reach 14,000 tons of PCR that will be used to produce FlexiGreen, our FIBC that is designed to help you reduce the environmental impact of your packaging and provide you tax savings.

We have relocated the REconditioning Business Unit (REBU) from Netherlands to Romania. We announced our plans to expand the capacity to 300,000 bags in 2024 to help you reduce your waste, lower your carbon footprint and moreover extend the lifespan of your asset.

We showcased the carbon savings with different end of life scenarios and compared the bags produced with 100% virgin material versus minimum 30% PCR and also new bag versus reconditioned bag.

Çağla Aksoy, FPS Global Sustainability Sr. Manager adds:

“We are proud of our accomplishments, such as earning a Gold Medal from EcoVadis, placing us in the top 4% of all evaluated companies. Our active memberships with organizations like Alliance to End Plastic Waste (AEPW), UNGC, Green Tractor Scheme, and EFIBCA further exemplify our dedication to sustainability.”

WaterSafe

At FPS we are committed to contributing to the well-being of people and we established our Omniversal Life Impact Program. In the scope of this program, we created WaterSafe for people who have difficulties to access safe and clean water.

WaterSafe is designed to transport, store and dispense water in a safe and hygienic way. Currently we are cooperating with NGOs in US and Kenya and we have distributed 68,000 WaterSafe backpacks impacting more than 1 million lives.
